08:27am Weather Conditions in Carlow -7, driving conditions are not good

08:33am Weather Conditions in Carlow -6.9, very Icy. Update from schools very poor. Tried calling some schools but nobody in to answer phones yet, not even answering machine to play a message to let parents know if the school is open or closed in many cases 

08:40am The disgraceful lack of communication from schools is putting the lives of kids and parents at risk as they travel to schools in this weather. An answering machine to play a simple message to assist parent or even a text is not that expensive.
