Update in Carlow – Kilkenny Schools during the Snow
Getting information about to know if schools are open or closed is a complete nightmare in Carlow. Do we risk travelling in school in these dangerous conditions when we have no update from the schools?
The safety of our kids is been put at risk because of the lack of information available.
This issue facing many parents which is putting kids at risk is because in these dangerous conditions many are travelling to schools, and finding their school close. It is a disgrace to think that in this modern age schools do not even have an answering machine to play a simple message letting parents know the school is closed.
To try and help parent I am posting any updates on Carlow schools and Kilkenny schools on this blog.
Update
Update so far for 1st of December
Benekerry NS Co.Carlow closed on Wednesday
Borris Community Playschool closed until further notice
Gaelscoil Osrai, Loghboy closed until further notice
Update 30/11/2010 10.01pm
Now new updates from any schools. It appeared that schools are waiting to see the weather condition in the morning. Unfortunately an update in the morning is too late for any parents that have a distance to drive to school

This is a common wordpress error that nobody appears to know how to fix. In the past I have searched the internet to find a solution for this and every time I came to a blog or form on this issue there was no fix just a lot of suggestion showing that a lot of people do not understand web server and the security of difernet modules. If you are having problem upgrading wordpress or plugins and you get the above error than more than likely your webserver is running in apache mode.
Fix: Go to the webserver seting in your hosting admin console and change the web server to run in CGI mode and this problem will be resolved. If you are unsure of how to change the webderver from Apache to CGI mode ask your hosting company to change the setting for you.
Submitting your website to as many free online directories as possible, this will help to increase your inbound links. Many directories will allow you to write your own title and description, which is another chance to include relevant anchor text so that your inbound link will improve your site ranking.
