CMS

CMS stands for Content Management System. CMS is a computer application used to create, edit, manage, search and publish various kinds of digital media and electronic text. CMS is used in web design to provide a content management structure to allow the website owner to easily update and make changes to a website. Gaelic Web Design uses CMS also known as WCMS or Web CMS in the admin areas of many of our designs to allow customers with little or no knowledge of website programming to be able to create, change, add, and manage the content of their websites with relative ease of use.

The primary purpose for adding a CMS solution to a website is so a non-technical website administrator can make changes to the content displayed on the public facing web pages.
